Writing job, remote copywriters needed
We are looking for subject matter experts who have established blogging experience and subject matter expertise in one or more of the following areas:
-Home and Garden (For example: How to clean carpets on the cheap, Things to look for when shopping for a siding contractor, shopping furniture deals, etc.)
-Entertainment (For example: Saving money at the movies, best days to visit the zoo/aquarium, throwing fun and cost effective birthday parties, etc.)
-Travel (For example: Using discounts to travel, finding the right condo/resort, cruises, airfare, etc.)
-Health and Beauty (For example: Get the most out of your dollar at the spa, fitness equipment or gym memberships, make-up/cosmetics, medical, vision, etc.)
-Shopping (For example: Best times of year to buy certain items, grocery shopping on a budget, buying big ticket items, deals on sporting goods etc.)
-Dining and Food (For example: fine dining without the price tag, home menu creation, etc.)
-Services (Which auto mechanic to use, when to get a lawyer and when to DIY, getting the best deal on cable/satellite, etc.)
This is just a sample of the topics we are looking for. Other related topics might include personal finance, budgeting, or smart couponing. All topics will revolve around the idea of becoming more Savvi consumers. Savvi consumers never pay more than they have to on the things they want and need.
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS
-Subject matter expertise AND passion for 1 or more related subjects
-Proven blogging ability (I.e. high quality personal blog, other guest or freelance blogging experience etc.)
-Self-motivated – able to generate and pitch story/article ideas and meet deadlines
-Able to write engaging and unique content while delivering a smart, effective message
-Comfortable working within editorial guidelines.
-Ability to produce multiple posts each month preferred (in a single topic or in multiple topics)
-Working knowledge of social networking and a willingness to share content in your networks is preferred.
-Willingness to commit to a long term consistent arrangement is preferred.
COMPENSATION
This is a paid blogging opportunity. All bloggers will receive compensation for their posts. Additionally, all bloggers will receive an “Author Page” on the Savvi blog which will include a bio, and an opportunity to link to a personal blog, twitter account or other web and social media properties. For motivated bloggers, there are also some potential affiliate opportunities.
