SFO spider tech job, remote, looking for C# developer

Are you a crawler/spider technology guru? Do you understand web crawling, wrapper induction, and website traversal? If so, this position is for you.

We are looking for C# developers to work on a stealth mode start-up from home either part time or full time depending on your availability. This is your chance to get in at the beginning and work on an exciting project.

Your role will be to develop a web crawling platform for product aggregation (think Google Shopping) using the latest Microsoft technologies including .Net 4.0, WCF, VS 2010 and MongoDB. Experience working on server level code and crawling expertise is an absolute must.

Responsibilities:

• Use C# to create a crawling infrastructure for a new aggregate search engine
• Design and implement architecture to crawl thousands of websites and millions of products
• Design and develop a complex server architecture
• Focus on functionality, scalability, and performance

Requirements:

• Extensive experience with .Net
• Full knowledge of crawl engine implementation
• Advanced C# experience is crucial
• Experience creating modern servers and infrastructure
• 8+ years of professional related experience

This is a stealth mode start-up and as such compensation is initially in the form of non-cash incentives with the expectation to start earning a salary when the company receives funding. Most of our current team is working ten to fifteen hours a week with a few working full time.
