As a CHI Academic Coordinator (AC), you can indeed have all the
opportunities above... and more... by bringing the world closer to your
home and community! ACs place, supervise and support international
students and their American host families while students attend local
high schools. A complete training is provided by CHI's Academic Program
Administrator who will give you the tools, materials and support needed
to be a successful exchange program representative.
Basic responsibilities include:
• Locate schools willing to welcome international exchange students;
• Recruit and interview prospective host families;
• Matching students with host families;
• Conduct host family and student orientations;
• Provide support for students, host families and schools throughout the CHI program;
• Communicate with students, host families and schools regularly.
Monitor the progress of the student and host family by completing
monthly reports;
• Plan and coordinate group outings for your students and host families.
Compensation
As a part-time, non-salaried, independent contractor position, the AC
receives a placement fee and a monthly stipend per student/family
placement.
