SFO Design Manager job, FT, Cupertino

This role will be responsible for leading and talented team of Production Artists, work directly with clients teams, and, most importantly, promoting a culture of fun and excellence.

Help prepare for launches by understanding the work required and assessing resource needs
Supervise the work of other production artists, ensuring they have the information they need and are meeting quality standards
Work closely with client teams (producers, traffic, development, publishing, and international teams) and LEVEL teams to meet project goals and ensure efficient file handoffs for localization.
Update product imagery and UI elements in Photoshop comps, and output web graphics
Track and check in web graphics using a version control system
Structure Photoshop comps to optimize efficient production design and localization workflows using slices, smart objects, and layer comps
Review final deliverables with an exacting eye, ensuring that layout, images, text, and links are flawless
Identify and help implement opportunities for process, design, file format, and technical improvements
Support training of newer team members, and professional growth for all team members
Work with the Creative Director and Account Director to strengthen relationship with client
Demonstrate a passion for quality and commitment to client satisfaction

Requirements:
Experience in a leadership role, leading team of 5+ individuals
Proven ability to cultivate and motivate a team
Experience working in a faced paced, client facing environment
Photoshop expertise, particularly setting up files for web production and adhering to graphic design standards
Excellent design and typography sensibilities applicable to interactive web pages and HTML email
Solid standards-based HTML/CSS and general web publishing knowledge
5+ years experience in a hands-on, high-volume web or HTML email design and publishing environment
Bachelor's degree in web or graphic design, or equivalent
