Job- Responsible for review, editing, formatting, and final compilation of proposal documents submitted in response to formal bid requests (RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, etc.). Writes portions of proposal documents, as assigned. Creates and prepares informal proposals. Provides analytical and specialized support. Executes special or continuous research and data analysis tasks. Analyzes problems, determines approach, compiles and analyzes data, and prepares reports/recommendations. Coordinates activities between departments and outside parties. Contacts company personnel at all organization levels, and as required from outside sources, to gather information, facilitate proposal development and prepare reports. May determine methods and procedures on new assignments. Duties may encompass interactions with marketing activities, telephone billing, collection, adjustments and inquiries, or tasks related to any other departments or functions. May have direct contact with customers and/or clients.

Major Responsibilities:
1. Participates in the formulation, planning, writing, and production of responses to various City, County, and State level Requests for Proposal (RFPs) for turn-key telecommunications services, as well as internal and external customer publications of the ICSolutions product suite.
2. Assumes end-to-end independent responsibility for formatting, proof-reading and final assembly and shipping of proposal documents in accordance with RFP specifications.
3. Sets up and maintains procedures and processes to ensure that all RFP-related tools and materials are available to all ICS staff.
4. Establishes procedures to collect, store, and retrieve essential hardcopy and electronic data and files relevant to the function assigned.
5. Assumes responsibility for independently preparing assigned portions of proposal documents.
6. Works with external contacts to verify document requirements.
7. Works proactively with Sales/Marketing, Administrative, and Operational/Technical teams and executives to gain product knowledge, verify documentation accuracy and usability, and complete assignments by published deadlines.
8. Must be a flexible, well organized individual who can multi-task multiple concurrent assignments/deadlines and communicate effectively verbally as well as in writing. Must thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic working environment. Attention to detail is imperative.
9. Must comply with all safety requirements contained in the company Injury and Illness Prevention Plan, especially workstation ergonomics.

Skills/Work Experience:
Requires 1-3 years' experience in complex technical/administrative publications preparation. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, organizational skills, research, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail in relation to editing and proofreading skills. Must have strong skills with MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel, and Adobe Acrobat. Requires some experience with MS Visio, Adobe Photoshop or similar graphics conversion tools.

Knowledge/Education/Training:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Professional/Technical Writing, English, Communications, Business Management, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Seminars and/or training in writing and publications preparations a plus.

Abilities/Special Requirements:
Must have the ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and manage multiple clients and client issues simultaneously. Ability to manage all aspects of the writing process (outlining, planning, writing, research and interviews, editing, proofreading, final publication) while meeting stringent deadlines. Ability to learn and understand the purpose of products and tools the company supports and how to present the information simply and concisely to the end-user at numerous levels. Ability to write from both a semi-technical and client perspective. Ability to produce simple graphical diagrams when needed to illustrate operational procedures. May be required to travel infrequently.
