Remote Academic job, Virtual, Revolution Prep

Revolution Prep now offers academic tutoring across a variety of subject areas, both online and in-person. The Academic Subject Leader will develop and review instructional tools in his/her content area and provide support to K12 academic tutors across the country. The Academic Subject Leader will be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate and exemplary academic materials, and will work with tutors to supply exceptional tutoring tools and strategies.
The Academic Subject Leader will be responsible for:
  • Developing a pacing guide in his/her area of expertise
  • Creating and reviewing instructional materials
  • Organizing and placing curricula on an online platform for tutor accessibility
  • Answering questions on content and tutoring strategies from Revolution tutors
  • Sending out content and tutoring updates
  • Reporting weekly activity to the Manager of Academic Tutoring

  • Algebra II
  • Geometry
  • Trig/Pre-Calc
  • Calculus
  • Statistics
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Physics
  • World and European History
  • US History
  • Spanish and Foreign Languages
  • English and Literature


The Candidate
This ideal candidate is knowledgeable of academic content standards, aligning materials to standards, and comparing content standards from different sources.

To be considered, candidates must meet the following requirements:
  • BA or higher and/or a Single Subject Credential in the subject
  • Experience in K12 tutoring with strong tutoring recommendations
  • Knowledge of the standards and pacing of courses; Experience in a K12 environment a plus
  • Ability to work comfortably in word processing and a technology-based environment
  • Ability to develop and use on-line documents and multi-media tools to create curricula
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to commit to an academic school year
The Specifics: The position is up to 8 hours of work per week at $15 per hour based on experience and qualifications. The candidate must commit to an academic school year. This is a virtual position that will allow you to work from home.
