Portland Freelance Reporter job, Writers Needed

Neighborhood Notes is the thorough, smart source for neighborhood news and events in Portland, Oregon. We're looking for freelance reporters and feature writers to help us reveal our city block by block.

This is a (paid) freelance gig that is best suited for individuals who are well-connected neighborhood insiders, meaning that you must be able to pitch news and feature stories not covered by mainstream media.

We're seeking beat reporters in all parts of the city, with a special need for reporters in East, Southeast and Southwest Portland. Good working knowledge of Portland's neighborhood system is required.

We're also in need of feature writers for our Business, Style, Home & Garden, Culture, and Food & Drink sections. This means being a local expert and having your finger on the pulse of what's happening in Portland neighborhoods.
