DIY Seder is a NYC-based start up that helps people use technology to customize, and share, holiday experiences. We are looking for an interactive designer to take a document and design 4-5 themes to appeal to different audiences. Timing is ASAP as this is for a Passover 2011 website. (Familiarity with Passover and Haggadahs a plus.) The resulting designs will ultimately be used to publish book-like content to pdf format for use online and in printed materials.

You should have:
  • mastery of Photoshop and a solid understanding of Adobe Creative Suite
  • ability to interpret wireframes
  • ability to convert designs to CSS
  • understand the difference in designing for the web versus designing for print
  • your own space and equipment to work with
  • ability to communicate easily and to turn around deliverables in about 1 week (evenings and weekends are fine if you want to do this on the side)
  • attention to detail and consistency
  • familiarity with the Passover Haggadah a plus
** You must be in the NYC area. There will be a kick off meeting in Manhattan where we together look at books and other reference materials. Other than this meeting, we are happy for you to work virtually.

This is a freelance, project position. To apply, please email a short note with your portfolio, availability and rate. (Applications without all of the above information will not be considered.) Reply to: 2252024
