Who we are:
Get Satisfaction helps companies participate in the increasingly distributed and disconnected conversations taking place today across the social web. Our platform unifies conversations across multiple touchpoints; whether they’re happening on the company web site, Facebook, Twitter, or the corporate blog. As opposed to the confusing traditional forums, we focus conversations around four simple, outcome-oriented topic types: Ask a Question, Share an Idea, Report a Problem and Give Praise. This helps keep conversations focused and productive.

Who you are:
You are an excellent communicator who is experienced with a wide variety of tools for online interaction, from message boards to blogs to chat to social media tools. You are a service-oriented individual who gets satisfaction out of helping others and is also comfortable assuming a leadership role when needed. You are confident and comfortable interacting with everyone from executives to those in the trenches. You are happy working independently from home with varying hours and appreciate the opportunity to apply your own creativity to the job. You have good business judgment and skills and are interested in helping the client achieve their business and community goals.

What You'll Do:
You'll be responsible for co-moderating interactions for an online community on behalf of our client. And you get to work from home, the beach, or where ever you have a reliable, secure network connection. This is a temporary, part-time opportunity expected to last 6 months with the possibility of going longer.

Responsibilities:
Learn the clients suite of community tools, culture and business goals.
Serve as a resource to the client’s customers.
Monitor participation in online forums and take appropriate steps to ensure a positive experience for all participants.
Ensure that all community members maintain a respectful tone and adhere to the client’s guidelines.
Collaborate with other moderators and managers.
Provide weekly and monthly reports that summarize activity in the community, provide meaningful analysis, and show progress against goals.
Provide feedback on and assist in the implementation of strategies to keep the community vibrant and active with new programs, promotions, etc.
Attend regular meetings with internal staff and client.
Client defined shifts (based on Pacific Standard Time) include weekday evening & graveyard hours and weekend morning, afternoon and evening shifts. The hours will be divided between two moderators.

Requirements:
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Familiarity with standard business applications (word processing, spreadsheets).
Experience with online messaging services and applications.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, which includes nights, weekends and holidays.
Stable computer and reliable broadband connection.

Preferred Skills:
Experience participating in and moderating online communities.
Experience working with enterprise customers.
Knowledge of general social networking and web services (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, wikis))
