Ten Lifestyle Conceirge is looking for a sharp and creative freelance web writer to join its Editorial team. The position is a part-time role for an initial 2-3 month period with the possibility of extension/renegotiation after that. It will be approximately 3-4 days a week and will be office-based (Central London). We are looking for a candidate available for an immediate start. The daily rate will be between £130-£140 based on experience.

We are looking for a dedicated freelance web writer, with both writing and technical skills, mainly to write, design and send out regular and ad-hoc campaign emails to our 800,000 members using our mailing tool. A strong knowledge of English grammar and excellent writing skills are essential, as with any editorial role. The candidate must also display an ability to confidently write and edit work on a wide variety of subjects to a range of readerships.

A journalism degree, postgraduate or officially recognised course is desirable, as is experience writing for e-marketing content and online campaigns. A minimum of three years experience within the industry is essential.

Key skills

• Extensive lifestyle writing experience
• Experience with HTML and Dreamweaver or similar web design software/code editor
• Experience of content management systems
• Experience with InDesign/Quark Express is desirable but not essential
• Ability to research, write and fact check content to produce lively, informative, engaging copy in the Ten voice
• Ability to take decisions on own, in line with editorial direction
• Speak the ‘language’ of our affluent member base
• Good interpersonal skills working with rest of Ten team and directly with members.
• Initiative, common sense and strong organisational skills
• Reliable and quick to learn
• Able to work to deadlines and under pressure
• No technophobes
