Teachers

Our minimum requirements for teachers at Frances King are:

  • CELTA or equivalent*
  • 1st degree

2 or more years’ experience or a DELTA are an advantage

* A CELTA-equivalent qualification should:

  • be externally validated by a reputable examination body (usually a university or a recognised examinations board).
  • contain at least six hours supervised teaching practice (i.e. practice where a qualified assessor observes the trainee teacher

    • We are looking for residential activity leaders/house parents to join us for July and August to make their stay in London the best summer they've ever had. You will:

    - Be responsible, full of energy and enthusiasm, friendly and caring.

    - Have experience of working with children and young people (preferably teenagers).

    - Hold a valid First Aid certificate (desirable but training will be given).

    - Have relevant Level 2 qualifications (desirable but not essential). Your duties will include: - Leading afternoon and evening activities.

    - Pastoral duties and responsibility for your group.

    - Leading groups on visits and excursions.

    - Looking after student's wellbeing.

    - Preparation of materials for activities and trips.

    - Various other tasks to help with the smooth running of the centre.

    Salary and Benefits: £330 per week plus full board and accommodation
