Europe Production Manager job, remote, part-time, contract, freelance, homework

This role is open to candidates outside of London, and internationally-located, who are comfortable and effective working within a distributed/virtual team.

Market Mettle is a friendly, innovative, and research-driven publisher of telecoms and IT industry intelligence. We are a market leader and pioneer in our specialism, enabling strategy and market insight for an established and growing ‘Who’s Who’ client list.

We are seeking a hands-on and super-organised Production Manager to start at the earliest opportunity, and oversee publication of our expanding range of premium-quality monthly reports and other custom outputs.

You should be conscientious, reliable, and excellent at people management — your role will be to liaise with editorial, production, and commercial staff to ensure we meet client deadlines and our operations run smoothly. The following attributes are sought:

  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Word (including templates and indexing) expected. We use the latest versions, typically on Microsoft Windows.
  • Some HTML/XHTML editing work, using Adobe Dreamweaver.
  • Affinity with publishing and commercial online systems, e.g. content management, marketing automation.
  • Proven project management ability.
  • Layout and sub-editing skills.
  • Relevant sector experience and knowledge welcomed -- telecoms, technology, finance, senior-level business-to-business.
  • We welcome candidates with writing, copy-editing, and other skills.

The role could be part-time (we envisage a minimum 10 days-per-month), with flexible working arrangements (contract, freelance, homework), but with ample room to develop additional skills, responsibilities and workload. We seek long-term commitment and reliability.

Our teams are distributed internationally, so we welcome applications from outside the UK. Our primary operational time zones are European.

Competitive rates with good performance recognised and rewarded generously.
