Job Title: Medicaid Reimbursement Data Analyst
Location: Flexible

The Medicaid Reimbursement Data Analyst will manage and support consulting services regarding Medicaid finance and health care provider reimbursement. This is an excellent opportunity providing the ability to work remotely from home or from of our multiple offices throughout the United States.

Responsibilities:
    • Analyze and model payment methodologies in Medicaid and other public programs

  • Identify, design, and model reimbursement scenarios and payment policy alternatives

  • Create, manage, and analyze large-scale data sets, including paid claims data and cost report data

  • Manage client engagements

  • Present findings and recommendations to public and private sector clients, including senior executives

  • Develop proposals and support business development activities

  • Research and analyze:

    • Medicaid and Medicare reimbursement methods

    • Prospective and other payment methods

    • Cost reporting principles for hospitals, nursing facilities, and other providers


Requirements:
    • Minimum of 3-5 years previous work experience conducting financial analysis and/or modeling of health care reimbursement
    • Extensive analytic experience with financial modeling of provider reimbursement and payment methodologies, particularly hospitals or nursing facilities

    • Understanding of Medicaid payment policy in one or more states Experience working with large claim data sets, payment grouper and statistical analysis software

    • Experience with Medicaid or Medicare hospital reimbursement methodologies as well as cost reporting principles for hospitals and/or nursing facilities


    Preferred:
    • Bachelors' Degree preferred in business, economics, finance, or statistics
    • Experience working for a State Government is highly preferred


    Travel: Frequent travel within the U.S. ranging from 25-50%
