Cincinnati Equipment Inspection job, Field Work
American Test Center is looking for individuals who live in or near the
Cincinnati Metropolitan area. Technicians provide annual safety tests
& inspections on cranes, bucket trucks, digger derricks, fire
department aerials and other equipment. Inspections are performed at our
customers' locations. The inspections include visual, mechanical,
electrical, operational, hydraulic and other non-destructive test
methods.
New hires will undergo an involved training process. The typical
training period is 8 to 12 months. You will learn relevant codes,
protocol and specific test procedures as well as gain familiarity with a
diverse range of equipment. During training, individuals will work in
our River Falls, WI office as well as extensively with our existing
field technicians.
Travel is required. Crew assignments may last up to 6 weeks, where
individual may work out of state. Company will handle all travel
arrangements. After training, employee will service customers within a
territory close to your home.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Minimum 1 year mechanical background (Automotive, Diesel or Heavy Equipment Mechanics preferred)
* Valid Driver's License with clean driving record
* Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent (additional, formal education in mechanical field a plus)
* Computer Literate
* Good physical condition (Physical demands include 80lb+ lifting, climbing, and kneeling)
* Ability to travel extensively (see above)
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Training wage normally starts at $25,000 (more DOE) Wage is increased as
training progress is made. After training, wage should be in mid 30's
with additional earning opportunities available. We offer a variety of
benefits including per diem, medical, 401k, Vacation accrual and holiday
pay.
candidates that bring extensive FABRICATION or MAINTENANCE knowledge
(not operators) of TRUCK-MOUNTED AERIAL EQUIPMENT (not forklifts,
man-lifts or overhead cranes) may be considered for an advanced position
with higher starting salary and shortened training period.
