educators working together to improve the teaching of writing in the
nation's schools and in other settings. NWP provides high-quality
professional development programs to teachers in a variety of
disciplines and at all levels, from early childhood through university.
Through its network of more than 200 university-based sites located in
all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin

One student needed to support the Communications unit of NWP.
Position is responsible for assisting the editorial process,
proofreading, copyediting and handling a variety of other tasks
primarily related to web content and publications. In addition, you will
also handle administrative tasks including word processing, data entry,
photocopying, filing, and other work as assigned. This is a student
position that provides an excellent opportunity to gain nonprofit
experience related to communications work in education.
Experience:
• Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate students only
• Undergraduate students should be enrolled as juniors or seniors
• Detail-oriented
• Copyediting skills
• Strong writing skills a plus
• Fact checking using reliable online resources
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office
